let love win.

there are times when writing is the only thing i can focus on. i have a million things i need to be doing right now and all i can think to do is write. i feel like i need to write about how perfectly today played out and how tomorrow will do the same.

i truly believe, no matter how some moments might feel, that love will win in my life. i'm not even talking about romantic love between myself and my future husband or that unconditional love for my futures kids. i'm talking about the love of the Lord.

it will win in my life.

i've been fighting with the Lord for goodness knows how long now. i've been pleading for my own desires as if i couldn't function if those desires didn't come true. i've been defining my life by what i want and not by what the Lord wants. and so ... i've been left disappointed ... but i've disappointed myself. what the Lord has done though all of this is love me. love me enough to not let my desires happen yet ... he knows i need to walk a little further before things begin to unfold.

i'm not saying that you have to have your life all neat and tidy before the Lord gives you the desires of your heart. nope. i'm not saying that at all. but for me personally, i've got to realize that the Lord isn't saying "no" to my prayers ... he is saying "yes" to his love for me.

and so as i realize this about my life ... and as i still hold strong to the desires of my heart, i accept and cherish the love of the Lord with every fiber of my being.

i will choose to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS. and i will, minute by minute, choose to shift my focus to his face.

the Lord has a purpose for my life and it might not look anything like what i think it will. truth be told, i hope it doesn't. i hope it is far beyond anything my very creative mind has imagined.

everything that is happening in my life, in this very moment, is because God is so abundantly good to me, this is his best for me. it is an impossibility that anything could be any better for me right now than exactly where i am.
