i'll say with confidence i've had some of THE most fun experiences ever over the last few months. let me try to talk about them in order otherwise i'll get you all confused and in turn will confuse myself.
so ... i have a family here in nashville that is like my second family. they would do anything for me and i for them. they are mr. tim and mrs. sally and are my friend kellyn's parents. got that? ok ...
so they do the most fun things. just last night i went with them to puckett's in downtown franklin and ate yummy food and listened to some really famous songwriters do a little show. it was amazing. reminded me why i love nashville.
but that's not the story i was going to tell.
a month or so ago they invited me to go to a little town called bethel which is outside of leipers fork. that town was having a fish fry and a concert by a band called the homer dever band. and it was so fun! average age was about 70. fish was yummy and the music was great. it was like a little slice of heaven in my opinion. so here's a little video clip so you can get the idea.
so a few weeks after that i went to hang out with my friends mita, ivan and danny and we went to a chinese buffet and noticed that all the lights in the place had the effect that the water was moving. i thought it was so funny that i made a video of it.
after that we all went outside and did the electric slide in the parking lot to a song by b.reith. but i didn't get a video of that. unfortunately.
moving on ...
i mentioned that i went home. it was so lovely. i still dream about it.
then after i got back to nashville i got to go to this really amazing concert benefiting the country music hall of fame. it was put on by keith urban but the other guests were ... vince gill, martina mcbride, billy currington, miranda lambert, charlie pride, alan jackson, allison krauss, john mayer and dolly parton.
it was uh-mazing. it was great seeing everyone but dolly was the highlight for me. she was hilarious. here's a little clip from her set.
yep. it's been fun. and it won't stop here.
i'm off on a couple of vacations with my folks. and i can't wait.
the timing for all of this fun stuff was perfect.
i am thankful.
