let's start at the very beginning ... a very good place to start.
8+ hour flight to switzerland. it was a good flight. very smooth and although i didn't sleep i didn't hate the long flight. they fed us well and it was a fun experience.
as we started flying into europe you could see the alps for miles. it was like nothing i have ever seen in my life. such beauty. i thought to myself ... God knew when he created this that one day I would see it and love it. that made me really happy.
i thought the mountains looked like the perfect meringue on top of the perfect pie. just beautiful.
we got to train station in luzern and were greeted my Kendy, John, Eliza Kate and Caroline. Eliza Kate ran to meet me and hugged me harder than i have ever been hugged. i think it's a moment i'll never forget. There was so much love in that hug! we have a really special bond that little firecracker and me.
we spend the rest of the day with the family in switzerland doing swiss type things. it was really fun. but by dinner time i was so tired! i had to keep myself awake though and was successful. boy i slept good that night! the next day was spent doing more things in switzerland and then that night we took the 12 hours night train to rome .... to be continued in the next post! :)
