compliments

i think complimenting people is one of the most encouraging things you can do for someone else or yourself. i think giving people the credit they deserve is something we don't do enough. think about how fulfilled and blessed people would feel if they really knew how you felt about them. think about how great it feels when you know someone knows how you feel about them. it's liberating!

i've always wanted to be able to step outside of myself for just a minute and see myself the way other people see me. but that isn't possible. i've always said if i could that my life would be different. i'd hold my head taller. i'd walk with more confidence. but the truth is ... there is no need for this. if we tell each other the truth like we should we don't need to step outside of ourselves because our friends are our eyes and ears. truth should be spoken. we should know how valuable we are.

i am trying to learn this. i am trying to do this.

the only problem is that sometimes people throw compliments around like they were nothing. "you're awesome" or "you're the best" are a few that are heard or said a lot. don't give people compliments if you don't mean them. i don't want to hear things that aren't true. speak truth people. not what you think the other person wants to hear.

my life was changed by truth. truth that was the hardest thing for me to hear. truth from a friend who wasn't afraid to change my life.

say what you mean. mean what you say. help each other grow. don't be afraid.
