blogs are funny. they are funny because i get so sad when people don't update their blogs and yet ... i find myself almost a month later having not updated mine. i must do a better job.
went to the beach last weekend. it rained the whole time we were there except for like 3 hours. and those 3 hours were beautiful. so here are some pictures of the pretty weather.
to explain my title you must visit my sister's blog and watch a video a few months ago of eliza kate telling kendy she wanted to go to the beach. i let all my friends watch that video at the time and we have quoted it ever since. eliza kate got quoted like 50 times on our trip :)

this is me under my umbrella. like the umbrella i would use when it rains. it was so hot i had to get my face out of the sun so this is what i used. andrea said i was a "true southern belle".
at the red bar. it was a fun atmosphere with ok food that was really expensive. but it was a good experience anyways. apparently the crabs cakes are the best in the world. i don't like seafood. so i wouldn't really know.
this weekend i am in starkville for emily's baby shower. it was a good time and i got to see lots of people i haven't seen in a long time. the older i get the more i love starkville. it's home and it just feel safe. i miss emily. i wish the Lord would place her family in Nashville someday. i can't wait to meet baby smith!
before we know it the summer will be over and the fall will be here! which i love!
