well tomorrow is the big day ... the big haircut day. i'm not gonna lie ... i think i've lost a little sleep over it. i think out of excitement more than anything. doesn't take much for me does it?
although the poll states that 60% say don't do it ... i think i am going to have to go with my gut on this one. i think i'm gonna cut it all off. i've thought about it a lot and have decided that cutting it is is what I want to do. i try not to be too serious on this blog, but i will say that for the most part the line between doing what i want to do and doing what i think other people want me to do has been very blurred in my life. i've tried to please people too much in areas that really didn't matter. i've tried to be too much like what i think other people will like and therefore have lost a little of myself along the way. well i'm taking it back! so ... no matter what my hair comes out looking like tomorrow ... you can be sure that i did what i did because it is what i wanted to do. without factoring anyone else in. this all sounds so serious for just a haircut but it's nice how life works itself out in small ways so that perhaps when a bigger, more important thing comes up later i can look back on something like this and know i have what it takes to go with my gut :)
on a much different note ... we got an email yesterday from our company saying they are enforcing "summer hours". which means we get to leave at 2:00 every Friday till the end of August! how amazing is that? that means more time in the sun, better hours to drive home, and a little longer weekend to take trips! i am so excited!
i've been a reading maniac lately. i have read about 6 books in the last 3 weeks and i'm loving it!!! seriously loving it! it's like a whole new world has opened up to me.
speaking of books. read "the shack". do yourself a favor and drop what you are currently doing, go buy it and read it.
going to the NASCAR race here tomorrow night with a co-worker. should be good and hot for the race. not to mention i have to wear long pants and closed toe shoes because we will be in the "in field/pit" area. can we say sweaty? oh and i can't wear sleeveless either. yet another reason to cut all my hair off. :)
