fun trips and accents

one thing that happens to me all the time, since living in nashville and working with people who are not all from the south, is that people make fun of my accent. all the time! 

we have one band we work with that likes to repeat "bye" every time i tell them goodbye. they think it is so funny. so i'll say "bye" and they will way "byyyyye". silly boys. they are from the mid-west so i can understand the way i say things might be a little different. 

all that to say ... i saw this band this weekend on a little trip and i thought i was all so funny that ruthanne and i took a little video of what i would sound like if i was a GPS system.

please ignore the unflattering profile view of myself in this video. this angle definitely makes me wanna cry but the video is funny. 

we had a fantastic trip. lots of good music and good fellowship with some of my favorite people. i wish i could see them more often. but that's ok. 

i have more pictures from the weekend at home. i'll try to post them tonight. 

trips like that remind me why i am working where i work and why i do what i do. hearing the bands and hanging out with them reminds me why i love my job.
