i hate playing catch-up. but oh my goodness i've been so busy.

i started my new job about 2 weeks ago or so and it's been crazy since then. it's so hard starting a new job that i don't know much about while leaving a job that i was really good at. there are times where i am not quite sure what i did by taking the new job, but i know it will work out fine once i get to know a little bit more about the job. speaking of the job. my first "job" related trip was to Atlanta on the night of the tornado. we had just gotten done acting a fool in the Target in Atlanta and were driving to our hotel, which was right downtown, when the tornado hit. we had no idea what was going on. all we knew was that the wind was blowing harder than i had ever seen it and the roof of our car popped. right then Kendy called to ask if we were ok. that is when we were informed about the storm. we were less than a block from our [first] hotel so we got inside and checked the weather. the hotel was a dump so we decided to call every place in the world to find a room. most places were booked up due to the SEC tournament. the only place we found was right in the middle of all the damage but we had to find a better place to stay so we made the trek down there. the devastation and damage was terrible. i've never seen anything like it. everyone was in awe and just walking around outside looking at stuff. it was really a strange feeling. i took a few pictures. this was the next morning after most of the stuff had been cleaned up a little bit. we left that morning because our event that night had gotten cancelled. i've never been so happy to walk into my house EVER!
this is a picture of the hotel right across the street with all the windows blown out

i have a few other pictures but they don't do it justice. i'm just so thankful to have made it out of it all kinda oblivious to it all at the time.
so after all that i went and saw the dreamy Michael Buble in concert. if you ever have a chance to see him. DO IT! don't worry about how much it costs. fork it over and GO. it was the most entertaining show ever. he is so cute and so funny and an amazing singer and dancer. so great!
i didn't get any good pictures but here is a blurry one.

and finally last weekend i got to go home to MS to see my new niece, Caroline. the day before i went home i came down with a cold and was so worried i wasn't going to be able to go because i didn't want to give the cold to Caroline, but Kendy said it was ok and i went anyways. even though i was sick and my visit was cut short at Kendy's i had a great time the little time i was there and had a great time with my mom and dad at home. just relaxing and trying to get well. unfortunately i gave the cold to my mom :( but she is starting to feel better and hopefully no one else will get it.
here is a sweet picture of Caroline. it's one of the few pictures i got to take.
she was sleeping in the car on the way to eat lunch. so sweet.
