i like cleaning. i really do. i mean i love making something really dirty look new and shiny, but there are a few things that i don't like doing.
here is how it all begins...
you are taking a shower. the water isn't draining like it should and it is starting to pool up around your ankles. you know right away what it is and what must be done. you put it off until you seriously just can't take it anymore. so you get on your hands and knees and get the drain out of the tub and you put on your rubber glove (which always make your hand smell like rubber and leaves that nasty power stuff on your hand) and you start pulling at all the hair in the drain. it's your hair. it's clean hair really. but there is something about it that is just gross. it's a problem we all have (if you have long hair) but we never talk about it.
today i had to do just this. i pulled out more hair from the drain than my niece has on her whole head. yuck.

another issue i have in my apartment are lady bugs. i mean people really. lady bugs? i HATE lady bugs. they are made out to be this little creature that is so cute. mom's dress their kids up like lady bugs for halloween and think it is just the greatest thing ever ... but noooo they are not cute AT ALL. they are, and have been, invading my apartment for months. i suck at least 30 of them up every few days. as i am typing this one just fell from the window and died. and have you ever smelled a lady but that you have squashed or sucked up in the vacuum? totally nasty. only 4 more weeks in this apartment! yippie! no more lady bugs. here is a picture i took a few minutes ago. R.I.P. lady bugs.
p.s. i know that picture of my window looks really ghetto, but they are the worst windows ever and have a draft so i had tape them up. :)
